Chanakya National Law University Announces Professor Faizan Mustafa As Vice Chancellor

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) Patna has appointed Professor Faizan Mustafa as its new Vice Chancellor.

Professor SP Singh, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Co-Facilitator of the CNLU Search Committee, pronounced that:

“The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Search Committee headed by former Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra.”

Professor Mustafa continued his study at the Aligarh Muslim University. After that in 1984, he received his B.A. (Hons) in history, and in 1987, his LLB. In 1989, he received his LLM in criminal law. Later, in 1996, he achieved his Ph.D. from the same university.

Thereafter, he served as Aligarh Muslim University’s Dean and Registrar before being named Vice Chancellor at CNLU.

He had been the Vice Chancellor of the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad for more than a decade. He also served as NLU, Odisha’s first Vice-Chancellor prior to this.
