ABOUT THE CHIEF GUEST!
Dr. Pronema Bagchi, Assistant Professor of English at the Faculty of Arts, Communication and Indic Studies, Cuttack, Odisha, India is a passionate educationist, an enthusiastic researcher, and a graceful dancer. She was awarded the Doctorate Degree in the field of English Language and Literature Teaching at the age of 27 and published her first book Doing Poetry to Acquire Communicative Competence at the age of 28. At the age of 29, she became a research guide for English at MIT World Peace University, Pune, India. Her earnestness for research has allowed her to cook up titles for multiple conference presentations and delve deeper into discoveries with every new paper publication! Dr. Pronema Bagchi has conducted and has been a jury member for various elocution, debate and oratorical competitions. She accepted the ‘Outstanding Researcher Award (English)’ given by the 3rd International Academic and Research Excellence Awards in 2021. She has also conducted several training workshops for teachers on “Teaching Innovatively“. She is currently an active member of ELT@I (English Language Teachers’ Association of India), Pune Chapter. She has published more than 23 research papers till date. She believes in a perfect blend of curricular and extracurricular activities with an aim to fine-tune holistic education amongst diverse learners.
