Last week, the distinguished members of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Indore, including judges, public representatives, and lawyers, rallied behind the city’s ‘No Car Day’ initiative, championed by Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava.
They embraced alternative modes of transportation, opting for public transit or two-wheelers to commute to their offices. Even the District Court judges contributed to the green cause by cycling to their respective courts.
The Indore branch of the Madhya Pradesh High Court previously issued a directive to its employees, encouraging them to adopt alternative means of transportation.
The notice outlined the observance of World Car Free Day on September 22, 2023, and urged everyone to participate in the initiative.
This united effort was a concerted step towards improving air quality and sustainability.
