Lawyers are protesting outside Punjab and Haryana High Court against Justice Anil Kshetarpal, accusing him of misbehaving with a senior lawyer during a court proceeding on Friday.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association has demanded the transfer of the judge, while Advocates have resorted to a sit-in protest outside the high court.
The lawyers have also decided to boycott the proceedings of Justice Anil Kshetarpal and placed barricades outside his courtroom.
The issue began when Justice Anil Kshetarpal refused to allow a senior lawyer to continue his argument and imposed a hefty fine of Rs.5 lakh during a court proceeding.
The Advocates have approached the Chief Justice of the High Court, urging him to recommend the transfer of Justice Kshetarpal.
