The Kerala High Court is introducing a system of machine/automated scrutiny for bail applications before they are listed for hearing, for the first time in India. The automated scrutiny would check for errors before the application is listed before the Court for hearing.

The new system will be in operation from July 10. Until 1st August, there will be an option on the e-filing section to choose between “auto scrutiny” and “scrutiny by filing scrutiny officer” for bail applications. Once it is evaluated, the automated machine scrutiny will be compulsory for all bail applications from August 1.
