Internship Experience at U.P. Public Services Tribunal

This internship experience has been shared by Titiksha Srivastava, pursuing third year in LL.B.(Hons.) from University of Lucknow.

Name and Address of organisation:
U.P. Public Service Tribunal , Indira Bhawan, Ashok Marg, Lucknow-226001

Duration of internship:
17th May 2019 – 7th June 2019.

Application procedure:
The procedure they follow is offline. They require the hard copy of your CV , recommendation letter or NOC and an application or statement of purpose. After few days they send you a mail regarding your selection and joining.

Main task during internship:
As an intern my main task was to prepare a report at the end of internship which contained the details of each day. I was asked to jot down the significant points of the lectures conducted daily by honourable guests. When in court room, I was asked to note down the name of the case and few other basic details. During the internship one has to be very alert and focussed as it teaches a number of important things.

Good things:
This internship happened to be my best one because it teaches you numerous things. The lectures are taken by judges, officers and teachers who discuss their experiences in their field. It boosts your morale and develops a confidence in you. A chance is given to you to ask your own queries. Amidst these lectures a small activity is also given. Visit to jail, Vidhan Sabha and many more places take place. The working hours are also suitable. The working atmosphere is good and it is at a prime location.

Bad things:

No internship as bad. Every single one teaches you something or the other. The only bad thing i cam across were the washrooms. They do not have clean washroom for girls. This is a major problem in our country. You cannot find clean washrooms every where.

Stipend:
There is no stipend for the summer internship.
