About the organizer

The Commercial and Financial Law Reporter (CFLR) is a student-run and a professionals-supported platform that seeks to delve into academic research to legitimately contribute to the practice and jurisprudence around commercial laws. Our website (http://cflrinsights.in/) has a number of blogs, articles and case comments on commercial and financial laws, which are analyzed and procured into research reports every month. Our-long term vision is to establish ourselves as a law and public policy lab in commercial and financial laws. Overall, we envision a bridge between academic discourse and social implementation.

The Theme

As the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, the distressed companies are resorting to corporate restructuring mechanisms to tide over the impact of the pandemic. Hence, the Blog Series aims to facilitate a comprehensive discussion related to the legal framework and critical issues pertaining to mergers, acquisitions and takeover. It also seeks to highlight how the restructuring mechanisms will aid in reviving the business at both, domestic and international level.

In an attempt to encourage insightful discourse in the legal landscape around ‘Corporate Restructuring’, the editorial board of the CFLR invites blog submissions from academicians, practitioners, lawyers, legal experts and students till 30th October 2020. Submission can be in the form of articles, opinion, case comments on the aforementioned topic.

Please note: The submissions are, however, not restricted to the aforementioned theme, provided they fall within the ambit of the main theme i.e. Commercial and Financial Laws. To access CFLR Blog and Submission Guidelines visit: http://cflrinsights.in/
