Värde Partners completed its exit from its investment in RattanIndia Power Ltd. This exit marks a remarkable milestone for Värde Partners, reflecting their skilled navigation of the investment landscape.

Trilegal played a pivotal in advising Värde Partners throughout the entire transaction, in several critical components such as-

Värde Partners was part of a consortium of investors in 2019 that executed a critical restructuring and one-time settlement of the entire outstanding debt exposure of RattanIndia Power Ltd. through its collaboration with Aditya Birla Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC).

The original transaction for the debt resolution was notable, as it represented the largest one-time settlement transaction in India & marked a ground breaking moment as the first OTS transaction of its kind involving international credit funds, including important players such as Goldman Sachs & Värde Partners. This innovative approach set a precedent in the industry and underscored the importance of international collaboration in addressing complex financial challenges.
