Six New ASGs Appointed for Supreme Court

On 10th September, 2024, the Central government confirmed the appointment of six Senior Advocates as Additional Solicitors General (ASGs) to represent the government before the Supreme Court of India.

Following is the list of newly appointed ASGs:

  1. S Dwarakanath
  2. Archana Pathak Dave
  3. Satya Darshi Sanjay
  4. Brijender Chahar
  5. Raghavendra P Shankar
  6. Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (commonly known as Raja Thakare)

Among the appointees, Senior Advocate Satya Darshi Sanjay has previously held the position of ASG at the Patna High Court.

The Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions issued a formal notification regarding these appointments. The term for each ASG will be three years, or until further directives, whichever occurs earlier.
