The Sikkim High Court has implemented a new policy granting menstrual leave to women employees working in the Registry.
Under this policy, women employees are entitled to take 2-3 days off each month for menstrual leave. To avail of this leave, employees must obtain a recommendation from a medical officer.
The notification released on May 27th, further stated that when a female employee takes menstruation leave, her leave account will not be deducted.
