Through his legal representative Adv.Abhinav Chandrachud, who is the son of former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Mr. Ranveer Allahbadia requested the Supreme Court to combine the FIRs that had been filed against him in several states. Fearing arrest by the Guwahati police, who have already summoned him and other show participants, the YouTuber also requested anticipatory bail.

Following a statement by Allahbadia’s counsel, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna stated that the matter will soon be scheduled for hearing.

This incident took a huge stir when his video, went viral, stating “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or join in once and stop it forever?”

The YouTuber publicly apologized after Allahbadia’s remark caused tremendous uproar on social media and throughout the nation. He admitted that his remarks were offensive and inconsiderate in a video posted on his X account. He acknowledged that the comment lacked humour in addition to being improper. Allahbadia apologized for his error of judgment and added that humour was not his strong suit.

He committed to apply his position more sensibly going forward in response to worries about his impact on younger viewers. “Family is the last thing I would ever disrespect,” he stated. Additionally, Allahbadia asked that the “insensitive sections” from the episode of “India’s Got Latent” when his remarks were uttered be taken out.

A police officer claims that the Cyber Department has filed a complaint under the applicable provisions of the IT Act and requested that all 18 of the comedy show’s episodes be deleted. The Cyber Department discovered during its investigation that “vulgar and obscene” language was used in the program by participants and other show participants, including visitors.

Naresh Mhaske, a Shiv Sena MP, brought up the issue in the Parliamentary rooms and demanded more stringent rules on social media substance. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been ordered to provide a comprehensive paper on the subject by February 17 to a parliamentary subcommittee on communications and information technology.
