NEET-UG 2024: Supreme Court Refuses To Stay Counselling Process For Admission Into Course

K Chakra Pani

On June 20, the Apex Court declined to interfere with the counselling process for NEET-UG 2024. The same issue was decided on 21 June.

A Division Bench of Justices Vikram Nath and SVN Bhatti held that the admission is subject to the results of the present petitions.

Many counsels appeared for various petitioners in connected matters, addressing different concerns like 67 students scoring full marks, losing time in the Meghalaya exam centre, and many others. The Bench rejected the prayer of another petitioner to stay the re-test for those students who were awarded grace marks.

The next hearing is scheduled for July 8, tagged with the connected matters.
