NEET-UG 2024: Petition Filed Seeking Re-evaluation of All OMR Answer Sheets

K Chakra Pani

Another twist in the NEET-UG 2024 exam controversy,  a fresh petition has been filed by eight candidates, praying for a complete re-check of all the OMR sheets and a fresh ranking of candidates under the supervision of the Court.

Filed before a vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta, the petition prayed for quashing the notifications announcing results and clarifying exam queries.

The alleged irregularities in the evaluation of answer sheets include:

  1. Contrasting marks on the scorecard and OMR Sheet,
  2. Increase in passing cutoff and average marks,
  3. Students scoring 710+ marks, which is questionable,
  4. No clarity on the awarding of compensatory marks for loss of time, and
  5. No clarity on granting grace marks to students.
