On 26 June 2024, a Patna Court remanded two accused arrested by the CBI in the NEET Paper Leak case to CBI custody.
The accused – Manish Kumar and Ashutosh Kumar, aliases Mukesh and Chintu – were remanded to CBI custody by a Patna special court for further investigation and enquiries. They were alleged to have provided safe harbour to various aspirants who were leaked with question papers and answer keys.
The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police interrogated both the accused, and it was revealed that Chintu received the material on his mobile phone.
