Law College Dehradun
Law College Dehradun has splendidly contributed to legal education in the country since its inception and inauguration by His Excellency Shri Surjeet Singh Barnala, the then Governor of Uttarakhand in 2002. It has set a paradigm for legal education in the nation by offering innovative, research-driven discourses that are aimed at striking a balance between legal theory and practice. With scholarly and experience-rich faculty, the college commands an enviable position of being in the league of topmost Law Schools of the country. The college has earned many laurels to its credit; it has pioneered the 5- years BA.LL.B. and BBA.LL.B. integrated undergraduate course in the northern region of India, it is the first independent Law College and also the first to introduce one year LL.M. degree course in the state of Uttarakhand.
Vasundhara – The Green Society
Vasundhara- The Green Society intends to create awareness and increase the consciousness & knowledge about the environmental issues. It aims at the creation of a Green Campus with phased initiatives involving the student community and all the stakeholders making the University the first of its kind in the region to achieve environmental social responsibility. The society has a global vision with a local focus and collaborates with similar institutions to enhance efficient use of resources & sustainable development. The society aims to provide training, promote research development and create awareness on environment & the need for its protection & conservation through various environmental education programs at international and national level.

COMPETITION” on
“ANIMAL TESTING: THE FLAWS AND THE HARMS”
Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University has been working thoroughly towards conversing about various pellets of environment, and keeping that tradition going, Vasundhara- The Green Society, is pleased to announce a National Level Online Elocution Competition with the theme which talks about the various aspects of Animal Testing, with a view to develop deeper understanding of the emerging threat it imposes on a large scale. This competition aims to bring together brilliant minds from all across the nation on a single platform, providing them with the opportunity to speak their hearts out on the issue which is of significant relevance.
Eligibility
All the students who are pursuing undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses from any recognised University from India and abroad are eligible to participate.
Certificate & Rewards
Participants who have registered themselves and have sent their photographs shall be rewarded Certificate of Participation.

Rules
- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Law students (both undergraduate and postgraduate), management students, economics students and other undergraduate students and research scholar from any recognized college/university of the country are eligible to participate.
- GENERAL GUIDELINES
- 1. Online Registration: The prospective participants would be required to register themselves for the competition through the link of a Google Form provided to them, and pay the Registration Fees of INR 100. The link would be available to them on various social media websites, through these websites all the information regarding the competition would be disseminated to the prospects.
- Video Conferencing: The final round of the competition would be held online on the Google Meet platform, to abide by the regulations formulated for the pandemic period. All the participants who qualified for the screening round would be appearing for this round, here all the participants would be provided with an alphanumeric code, which they would be using later on, during the competition.
- Certificate and Reward: After the successful completion of the event, all the registered participants would be provided with E-Certificates of Participation and the winners would be awarded a Certificate along with the amount of 1,000 INR.

- This would be a bilingual competition (one can either speak in Hindi and English and the participant would not be allowed to switch their language in between).
- Participation would be open only to individuals (teams are not allowed).
- Time limit would be 3-5 minutes.
- Any use of unparliamentary language would result in disqualification of the participant. v. Decision of the judges would be prevailing and binding.
