Former Disney India legal head Mr. Mihir Rale has joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) as a Partner and Co-Head of the firm’s newly consolidated Digital+ practice. This move reflects CAM’s strategic focus on technology, media, and digital regulatory law.
Mr Rale, known for his experience in media, entertainment, and tech law, brings valuable in-house and regulatory expertise. At Disney, he led legal operations across streaming, IP licensing, advertising, and content compliance.
At CAM, Rale will co-lead the Digital+ vertical, a newly structured practice aimed at catering to the legal complexities of digital platforms, e-commerce, content-driven businesses, and evolving tech regulations.
His appointment marks a significant lateral hire for the firm as it strengthens its capabilities in advising clients on data privacy, OTT laws, tech transactions, and platform liability.
With the Digital+ practice, CAM aims to be at the forefront of advising new-age businesses navigating India’s fast-evolving digital regulatory ecosystem.
