On June 28, 2025, a disturbing incident came to light as reports emerged of a theft at the official residence of Kerala High Court judge, Justice A Badharudeen.
Kerala Police has registered a first information report (FIR) over the theft which took place on June 23. According to initial details, the crime occurred between 9 am and 12 pm on that day, during which gold jewellery of around six sovereigns was stolen.
The complaint was lodged by the private secretary of the judge, following which the police registered the case under Section 305 (Theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The incident has prompted heightened scrutiny over security arrangements at judicial officers residences. Investigations are currently underway, and authorities are examining all leads to trace the offender.
