About the Opportunity:
The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is accepting applications for physical, full-time internships on a rolling basis for November 2024 – May 2025. This one-month internship, extendable based on performance and availability, offers immersive learning opportunities.
At the start of the internship, interns will participate in an orientation session covering essential procedures, tools, and policies, and will be provided with necessary templates and protocols to ensure they are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
Mode:
Physical.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare briefs summarizing case facts, legal arguments, and relevant case law.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft memos and opinions.
- Attend court proceedings and meetings, taking detailed minutes.
- Interns are expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times, ensuring that all information obtained during the internship is handled with the utmost discretion and that their conduct consistently reflects the integrity and excellence required by the office.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate law students (2nd year or above in 3-year program, 3rd year or above in 5-year program)
- Postgraduate law students
