IIM Mumbai has achieved a major milestone by securing full placement for its 2025 batch, as shared by Director Prof. Manoj Tiwari on March 26, 2025. This year, job offers surged by over 10% compared to last year, with average salaries rising by 5%. A record 198 companies joined the placement drive, offering the top 10% of students an impressive ₹47.5 lakh per annum. The top 20% and 50% of the batch secured average packages of ₹41.2 lakh and ₹34.1 lakh, respectively.

The placement season buzzed with activity across various sectors. The pharmaceutical and healthcare industry stole the show, boosting offers by a striking 130%, while retail and e-commerce followed with a solid 47.73% jump. Consulting firms weren’t far behind, increasing their hiring by 28.92%. Leading the pack, Accenture rolled out 41 offers with an average salary of ₹45.37 lakh. PwC India came in strong with 18 offers, and PwC US Advisory added 10 more. Other big names like Alvarez & Marsal, OfBusiness, Praxis Global Alliance, Vodafone Idea, Workday, and ZS also snapped up talent from the batch.

Prof. Tiwari credited this success to IIM Mumbai’s deep ties with industry and its smooth evolution from NITIE. He highlighted the institute’s dedication to providing education that meets global standards, ensuring students are set for stellar careers.

Looking forward, IIM Mumbai is gearing up to expand its academic offerings. A new course on urban logistics and infrastructure management is in the works, alongside a one-year public policy program slated for the next academic session. Short-term, industry-focused courses are also on the horizon to keep pace with changing demands.
