The Delhi Bar Council has taken suo-moto cognizance of the incident of firing that took place inside the premises of Tis Hazari Courts today. The Council also suspended the license of the advocate who was identified from the videos that were shot when the incident took place.
The Council issued a letter to the lawyer which said, “In the said video, you are clearly identifiable, whereas identification of other advocates involved is being carried out for taking appropriate action. You being an advocate resorting to violence that too inside the court premises is highly deplorable and is gross misconduct.”
The Advocate has been called to submit a written explanation and appear before the Council on July 7th. If he does not appear, an ex-part action shall be initiated against him.
