This year’s Constitution Day was marked by a gift to enthusiastic learners from the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The Department of Legal Affairs has unveiled an online certificate course on the Indian Constitution in collaboration with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. The course is open to all those who have passed their 10th and are keen to learn about the Constitution.
It comprises 15 conceptual videos that shall be accessible for six months. The official statement provides for a free course. However, those willing to receive a certificate have to pay Rs. 100. Throughout the curriculum, students shall get hands-on insights including the history of our constitution, Constituent Assembly Debates, drafting of the constitution, preamble and fundamental rights, the relationship between fundamental rights and fundamental duties, the futurist goals of the constitution as incorporated in directive principles and the relationship between fundamental rights and directive principles, powers of union and state executive, powers and the role of judiciary with respect to Public Interest Litigation, executive and its powers and the amending powers of the Parliament.
