The Consortium of National Law University vide notification dated 28 April 2021 has extended the last date for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 application submissions to 15 May 2021.
The Notification issued by the Consortium reads:
“The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities met on 28th April 2021. After reviewing recent developments the Committee resolved to extend the application deadline due to difficulties faced by students arising out of bank closures and lockdowns. The last date for submission of CLAT 2021 online applications has been extended upto Saturday, the 15th May 2021.”
Earlier, the last date of submission of CLAT 2021 online applications was announced to be 30 April 2021.
Deadline For CLAT 2021 Applications Extended To April 30
CLAT 2021 which was earlier scheduled to be held on May 9 was postponed to June 13 vide press release dated 06 January, 2021.
As per the notification dated 19 April 2021, the CLAT Consortium had informed the applicants that since the pandemic situation is being monitored, it shall take the stock of the situation in the first week of May in regard to deciding the date of the test.
The foregoing notification reads:
“All applicants of CLAT-2021 are hereby informed that Consortium of National Law Universities is monitoring the COVID-19 Pandemic situation and will take the stock of the situation in the first week of May 2021 regarding the date of the test. Notification will be issued on the website of Consortium subsequently.”
The Application Fee for the CLAT 2021 exam is Rs. 4000/- for candidates belonging to the General category and Rs. 3500/- for SC/ST candidates.
