Court Practice Crucial for Law Students| Warns SC Judge, Justice Oka

At the concluding session of the prestigious K. K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition, Supreme Court judge, Justice A. S. Oka, delivered an insightful address to aspiring legal professionals. He advised law students to recognize the significance of trial practice and not undervalue its role in their legal careers. According to him, trial practice forms the bedrock of effective law practice, imbibing advocates with the skills necessary to present arguments persuasively and handle complex litigation.

The moot court competition, hosted by the Campus Law Centre of Delhi University, was organized in memory of the late senior advocate K. K. Luthra. Marking its 21st edition, the event focused on a contemporary legal issue examining the legality and ethical concerns surrounding the use of artificial intelligence tools in policing. This theme ignited legal debates and analytical discussions among participating teams.

After several rounds of rigorous competition, Sastra (Deemed to be University), Thanjavur, held the championship title, standing out for their legal acumen and persuasive arguments. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which delivered an equally commendable performance and secured the position of first runner-up. The competition showed the immense talent and potential of young legal minds in tackling complex legal problems.
