On 17th May, 2025, the Consortium of National Law Universities has released the revised results and counselling schedule for the CLAT 2025 Undergraduate (UG) program. It was released as per the directions of the Supreme Court of India. This update follows the Court’s observation of errors in the original answer key, leading to a complete re-evaluation of the exam.

The CLAT 2025 UG exam, held earlier this year, saw participation from thousands of law aspirants across the country. Soon after the initial results were declared, several candidates filed petitions pointing out discrepancies in the answer key and questioning the evaluation process.

Both the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court thoroughly reviewed the concerns raised by candidates regarding the CLAT 2025 UG examination. Upon examination, the courts identified errors in several questions and acknowledged inconsistencies in the official answer key. In response, the courts issued specific directions to the Consortium of National Law Universities to undertake corrective measures. These included revising the answer key, awarding marks for valid but previously unaccepted responses, and excluding flawed or ambiguous questions from the final evaluation process. The objective was to ensure transparency, fairness, and the integrity of the admission process. As a result, candidate scores have been revised, possibly affecting the overall merit list.

Meanwhile, the results for the CLAT 2025 Postgraduate (PG) remain outstanding. The Consortium has stated that the PG results will be declared only after legal proceedings in the Delhi High Court are concluded.
