About the organisation

Chanakya National Law University is an autonomous law school in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Bihar as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education. The Chief Justice of Patna High Court is the ex officio chancellor of the university.

About the Parliamentary Debate

The Academic and Debating Committee of Chanakya National Law University, proudly present to you the XIth Edition of the CNLU National Parliamentary Debate. Over the years CNLU PD, as it is popularly known, has played host to some of the country’s best debaters and adjudicators.

The previous editions of the tournament were extremely successful with participation from a number of national as well as international teams, a sizeable number of competent adjudicators, a stellar adjudication core – all of this topped with a cash prize worth Rs. 2 lacks.

Dates

The XIth edition of the CNLU Parliamentary Debate shall be held from 13th September to 15th September 2019.

The First Round of Registrations close on 20th August 2019.

Prize Money

Total prize money amounting to more than INR 2 lacs, and an amazing debating experience.

Format

The tournament will be open to institutional and cross teams, and independent adjudicators and shall follow 3-v-3 Asian Parliamentary Debating (N+1) format.

Registration Fee

The Registration Fee for the debate is INR 2200 per participant inclusive of transport, accommodation, three meals for three days, each and break night.
