NEET-UG 2024: Supreme Court Orders NTA for Strict Vigilance

K Chakra Pani

The Supreme Court ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to avoid even ‘0.001%’ of negligence in conducting the NEET-UG 2024 examinations, keeping in mind the struggle and hard work the candidates have invested in their preparations.

A vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SV Bhatti was hearing a petition addressing concerns on malpractices, paper leaks, and grace marks awarded, cautioning that the consequences of creating doctors through such methods could have a dangerous impact on society.

The Court also noted that in order to regain the confidence and trust of the people again, any mistake made by the NTA must be admitted openly, ensuring transparency and accountability.
