On June 11, 2024, the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud visited the Judges’ Library of the Supreme Court, where the Advocate-on-Record Examination was held,, after glitches were found in the computers.
This AoR Exam was the first digitised exam, using computers for one of the subjects. However, the candidates experienced technical glitches while attempting the exam on June 10th.
The Supreme Court released a statement allowing candidates who experienced technical glitches during the first AoR Exam to reappear if they choose to do so. As per the statement, 761 candidates appeared for Paper I in pen and paper mode, 114 for the computer-based exam on June 10th, and 873 for Paper II on June 11th.
