The Supreme Court reconstituted its Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee (GSICC) with Justice Hima Kohli as its Head.of the Supreme Court will continue her leadership of the Supreme Court’s Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee (GSICC). She has served as the head of the committee for the past year.
The reconstituted 12-member committee includes Justice BV Nagarathna , who will also serve as aas one of its members.
The announcement was made public on May 31 through a notice on the Supreme Court’s official website.
This nomination was made by the Chief Justice of India, utilizing the authority granted under Clause 4(2) of the Gender Sensitisation and Sexual Harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2013. The announcement was made public on May 31 through a notice on the Supreme Court’s official website.
The GSICC, which includes court officials, lawyers, and other members, is responsible for promoting gender sensitivity and handling complaints of sexual harassment within the Supreme Court premises.
In addition to Justices Hima Kohli and BV Nagarathna, the committee’s members include:

- Madhu Chauhan (representing the Supreme Court Bar Clerks’ Association)
- Shruti Pandey (Professor of Legal Practice at Jindal Global Law School)
- Senior Advocate Jaideep Gupta (senior member of SCBA
- Leni Chaudhuri (Executive Director, University of Chicago Centre in India Pvt. Ltd)

The committee is charged with the dual responsibilities of raising public awareness on gender issues and addressing sexual harassment complaints within the Supreme court .
