Plinth is one of the biggest technical, literature and management fest organised in any of the colleges in Rajasthan. It provides a platform to the budding young talents interested in any of these fields to showcase their talents in front of a huge crowd from all over India. A number of educational workshops, motivational talks, competitive events and an overall entertaining atmosphere awaits you here at Plinth which includes pro-nights by famous artists as well that will be announced soon enough.
The participation fee for the event is INR 400/- for each member of the team and the Adjudicators.
The Debate Society brings to you a variety of events to keep you entertained while you learn and speak your mind to take a stand:
1. Parliamentary Debate
With it’s rich experience and background, the Debate Society of LNMIIT will be hosting it’s 1st ever Asian Parliamentary Debate. As an engineering college, the Society feels that there is a need to keep the debate, thoughts and opinions alive. And for this, in PLINTH ’20, the Deb Soc will organise this 3-on-3 Parliamentary Debate.
The event will be semi-open tournament, meaning that participants from various institutions can form cross teams but currently have to be an undergraduate or postgraduate.
Team Cap for this event will be 3 teams per Institution with N+1 rule applying to the adjudicators, N being the number of teams from an institute.
We will be announcing the Core Adjudication shortly, which will be the best of what any debating circuit will have to offer.
2. Change my mind
Debaters, are you tired of conventional debates to put your opinions on top of the others’? Memers, do you want to see a meme come alive? We’ve got you all covered! Change my mind is an unconventional event which challenges your knowledge and convincing power to make someone differ from their own point of view. Come show your vocal prowess by proving someone wrong and getting a reward for it.
3. Political Graffiti Wall
Tired of the social issues going on around you due to lack of appropriate political measures? We give you a place to take out your frustration, suggest measures or even disagree with the opinions already on the wall. Come and you’ll realise how you’re not the only one annoyed by the incidents happening all around the world.
