1st National Moot Court Competition 2025: Centre Of Legal Education, ISDC [Register by 5th March 2025]

1. ABOUT ORGANISATION
Iswar Saran Degree College, a distinguished constituent PG College of the University of Allahabad, was established in 1970 under the auspices of Harijan Sewak Sangh. Centre of Legal Education, ISDC is organising the 1st National Moot Court Competition 2025 from 4th to 6th April 2025. The event shall include 32 enthusiastic teams from all over the country at the banks of the holy Sangam to engage in a zealous encounter to hone their litigation skills.

2. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Moot is being organised in collaboration with a Title Sponsor: HSA Advocates, a full-service law firm that is renowned for their expertise in the legal domain, have meticulously crafted the Moot Problem for this National Moot Court Competition, ensuring a challenging and intellectually stimulating experience for participants. The event has three Media Partners: Lawctopus, Lawbhoomi and DesiKaanoon. Along with them, the has an invaluable support from their official Knowledge Partner: India Law Journal.

3. ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open for students who are pursuing LL.B three/five-year courses during the current academic year from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

  1. Each team should consist of three members.
  2. There shall be two speakers and one researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with prior permission of the court and the Moot Court Committee in case of illness of the designated speakers.
  3. Teams should not disclose the identity of their institution; such disclosure shall invite penalties including disqualification. The decision for the same hall be at the discretion of the Moot Court Committee.
  4. No additional team member other than the above three shall be entertained.
  5. Each team shall be assigned with the team code. Teams shall use only their Team code for identification purposes. Names of participants may not appear on or within the written submissions.

5. PRIZES
There is a prize pool of up to Rs. 1.20 lakhs, the winners shall be given an internship opportunity at HSA Advocates, a top-tier law firm of India, and a cash prize of INR 51,000. The Runner-up shall receive a cash prize of INR 25,000. The Best Speaker shall receive a cash prize of INR 10,000. The Best Researcher shall receive a cash prize of INR 10,000 and the Best Memorial shall receive a cash prize of INR 15,000. A certificate of participation shall be provided to each participant.
